BASIC FUNCTION/PURPOSE
This individual will work directly with our At-Risk student
population. This position will include but not be
limited to individual, group and classroom
sessions.
Be pro-active in eliminating diverse behaviors
in students.

position is frequently required to walk, sit, talk, hear, bend,

The employee occasionally works extended
hours.
Vision abilities required by this job include
close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the
ability to adjust focus.
PERFORMANCE
RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Help monitor: Breakfast/lunchroom,
playground, hallways, and classrooms.
Will supervise students to assure that they
are maintaining an orderly manner to and from these
areas.

Will place students who are
suspended in school, or time out in an appropriate
area.
-
Will help supervise playground
activities when they have no student.
-
Assist in providing strategies
for teachers to help students.
-
Assist in the development of
specific individual discipline plans for students that had
previously been sent to ISS.
-
Compile a list of students
seen on a daily basis.
-
Maintain visibility in
classrooms, hallways, media center and playgrounds
throughout the school day.
-
Complete discipline forms in a
timely manner and give copy to principal.
-
Report to the principal all
behavior that may result in suspension.
-
Attend meetings and in-service
as requested by the principal.
-
Will assist student with
developing and writing a plan.
-
Will be a liaison between
student, teacher, principal, and parent.
-
Additional responsibilities
may be assigned by the principal when needed, to assist in
our efforts to serve any student.
-
Do class presentations when
necessary; Second Step included.
-
Work with small groups to help
building self-esteem and develop pro social skills.
-
Supervise programs after school with
students who have missed assignments:
chronically, in school suspension, out of
school suspensions or through absence.
-
Collaborate with teachers and
students as well as the school social workers to develop
workable solutions that will benefit students.
-
Other duties as assigned by
the supervisor.

Range:
Pay will range from $10.97 to $11.97 per
hour
Evaluation
Frequency:
Job performance will be evaluated a minimum of
1 time per year.
