AVAILABLE POSITION
1.0 FTE teacher or other licensed support staff on Special Assignment (TOSA):
District PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) Coach responsible for facilitating implementation fidelity of a tiered PBIS system
Teachers’ contract, Education Service Center
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assist school-level PBIS coaches with implementation of a high-functioning, tiered system of intervention based on the philosophies and practices of SWPBIS
· Provide ongoing training, support and consultation for individuals working with a case load of secondary students within the Tier II PBIS system to ensure implementation fidelity
· Provide consultation to the school Tier II PBIS Team including the use of progress monitoring tools and applications to monitor the effectiveness of Tier II interventions
· Provide training, consultation and support to the school Tier III PBIS Team including implementation fidelity, progress monitoring, and the use of evaluative tools for effective action planning; coordinate with district behavior specialists as necessary
· Assist with the coordination of the district-wide Professional Learning Community (PLC) for the PIBS coaches including training on the effective use of PBIS evaluation tools
· Assist with technical consultation to the school PBIS Tier I Team to promote and monitor effective team practices including the use of SWIS and other student data to produce action plans
· Assist with educating district and community stakeholders on the philosophy and practices associated with the tiered system of SWPBIS
· Assist with the coordination of ongoing training and support for SWIS users
· Help represent the district at state-level trainings through MDE
· Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
· Licensure with at least four years of school-related experience; master’s degree preferred
· Experience providing leadership and direction to school-based staff regarding the successful implementation of PBIS required
· Knowledge of best practices in professional development for K-12 educators
· Knowledge of current research on school reform and the change process
· Knowledge and experience with positive approaches to managing student behavior
