TITLE:
After School Activities Program
(ASAP) and Early Risers Program
Director
SUPERVISION:
Works
under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum,
Instruction
& Assessment
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Development,
maintenance, and programming of all aspects of the elementary and middle
school after school program (ASAP) and before school programs (Early
Risers)
-
Develop,
manage and maintain budget/accounts payable, payroll, deposits, supplies,
staffing and hiring
-
Coordinate
registration for ASAP and Early Risers programs
-
Act
as liaison between ASAP and building personnel
-
Recruit, hire and supervise /evaluate all staff,
including supervisors, assistant site supervisors, full/part time staff and High School
tutors
-
Purchase and maintain program supplies and space
used
-
Supervise
all staff and students (ensuring that all policies & rules are
followed)
-
Develop and enforce behavior management plan
-
Develop and maintain of relations with parents,
students, staff
-
Conduct training/continuing education of staff,
inclusive of biweekly meetings with school site supervisors
-
Ensure safety of all students and staff at all
times (including daily attendance and confirming locations of all students
on a daily basis)
-
Communicate daily with Assistant Director
regarding programming, behavioral incidents, injuries, parental
communications, etc…
-
Oversee
all functions and development of programs.

Communicate frequently with Early Risers and ASAP
Supervisors regarding programming, behavioral incidents, injuries,
parental communications, etc…
-
Maintain and enforce program confidentiality
-
Supervise and implement daily and long-term
programming
-
Maintain membership of NEDDs (Network of Extended
Day Directors)
-
Coordinate facilities scheduling at all ASAP and
Early Risers locations
-
Organize/coordinate 5 elementary enrichment
programs, 3 sessions per year
-
Oversee curriculum development and programming
-
Other duties as assigned by the
Assistant Superintendent
