NOTICE OF POSITION VACANCY

Position:                 Part-Time Computer Technician (2 Positions)

Summary:               The Part-Time Computer Technician is responsible for basic computer and application support.  The candidate will install, maintain, and repair computers, peripherals, and printers.  This position will inspect, test, diagnose and repair/replace computer hardware.  The technician will also provide basic application support.  Duties may also include supporting multimedia equipment including data projectors.  Some travel will be required.

Qualifications :        High School plus pursuing IT industry certification(s) (i.e. CompTIA, A+, Network+, etc.) or enrolled in a degree program focused in IT.  Basic knowledge of desktop computers and peripheral equipment required.

Skills/Other :           Candidate must be capable of working in a fast paced, dynamic environment.  Must possess good customer service skills.   Must be able to adapt to changing priorities and to assimilate new knowledge.  Must have strong teamwork abilities, ability to manage and document multiple projects and possess strong interpersonal communication skills.  Candidate must also have knowledgeable in PC/Mac Operating Systems (Win XP/7, Mac OS), Microsoft Office and computer hardware.

Reports to:              Coordinator of Shared Technology Services

Salary/Benefits:      Part-Time (16 hours per week)

                              Rate $9 - $13/hr
