Sweeper Cleaner

Hours:   18.75/Week - 12 month  

Location: Austintown Community Fitness Center

           

Summary: Due to the resignation of Oley Walter Job 2

 

The Sweeper Cleaner keeps the assigned building in a healthy, safe and orderly condition.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

1.)  Performs general cleaning of all classrooms, offices, and all other areas as assigned.

(Please see administrator for assignment details)

2.)  Reports unsafe conditions and/or maintenance problems to the custodian on duty and/or the building administrator.

3.)  Identifies and reports unauthorized persons in the building to the custodian on duty and/or the building administrator. Elementary sweeper cleaner(s) may be responsible for securing the building.

4.)  Performs all related tasks as assigned by the administrator, head custodian, and/or custodian on duty.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

1.    High school diploma or equivalent.

2.    Favorable BCII/FBI checks.

3.    Previous cleaning experience.

4.    Ability to stay on task.

5.    Physically capable of performing cleaning duties that may include but are not limited to lifting and moving of heavy objects.

 

Reports to:

 

Custodian on duty and/or the building administrator, Superintendent or designee.

 

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation to classified personnel.

 

 

 

 

Employees are to complete all information requested on the Clasified Bid Sheet and return sheets to the Board of Education Office no later than 2:30 PM, June 15, 2012. Bid sheets may be obtained in the building main offices, with cafeteria managers, head custodians or at the Board of Education Office.  

 

Interested parties must submit a letter of interest, which MUST BE TYPED OR CLEARLY PRINTED on 8 ½ x 11  paper. Letters should include position applying for, location, hours, experience, and contact information.
