Support Specialist for Food Service Operations
This position reports to the CFO and works daily with the Director of the Food Service Program. This 205 day position requires specific skill in accounting and detail analysis. Critical thinking and accurate reporting is imperative for the funding of the Food Service Program and is a responsibility of this position.
The ability to multitask and serve the children, employees, administration, and parents successfully in oral and written communication is required. Proficient in word processing, excel, databases (such as Access/CSI) is required.
Extensive knowledge of the food service program is required to include:
Free and reduced meal application/processing
On-site review of school cafeteria(s)
USDA monthly reimbursement for meals
Lexington District Two cafeteria payroll
Monthly cafeteria inventory
Process new hires
Locating Substitutes for the cafeteria
Parent contact regarding student cafeteria accounts
Work in the schools as needed
Accounting/cash posting for receipting and importing of revenue to school database
Food service revenue cash postings to the ledger
All other duties as assigned
