Scope
The teacher is responsible for teaching courses in their content area of certification to adult students working towards obtaining their High School Diploma.
Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. day school & 7:00pm – 9:00pm night school, except holidays, vacations and school closings
Length of Work Year: September 4 through end of school year.
Reports To: Director of Adult & Continuing Education
Minimum Qualifications:
· Must possess or be eligible for Connecticut Adult Education Certificate (106) and have content area certification
· Demonstrated knowledge of HS subject area content and the ability to deliver that content to a variety of learners at different levels
· Knowledge of Adult Student Learners and their needs
· Flexibility to teach at more than one location
