Antioch Community Consolidated School District 34 has a part-time opening for a Coordinator of Student Services starting August 2012
Qualifications:
· Appropriate Illinois Special Education Certification Required
· Illinois Type 75 Certificate preferred
· Exceptional verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills required
· Ability to relate to a large and diverse stakeholder group in a positive and constructive manner
· At least five years of successful special education teaching and administration experience preferred
· Demonstrates a sense of collegiality, decisiveness and is a positive role model
· Demonstrates honesty and integrity at all times
The ideal candidate for this position is a professional who:
· PBIS, RTI and LEA representative responsibilities
· Facilitate IEP meetings with the district, SEDOL, and private educational settings
· Assist building principals with issues related to providing appropriate educational services to all district 34 students in the least restrictive environment
· Support the development and delivery of student services to District 34 students
· Monitor implementation of special education procedures and processes following federal, state and local guidelines as well as best practices
· Assist in the recruitment, selection and retainment of special education staff
· Facilitate staff development related to special services
· Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Student Services and/or Superintendent
