Description:  Assistant Director for Pit Orchestra

 

Stipend:  $1,113.00

Job Summary:  Auditions pit orchestra members as dictated by the demands of the score.  Arranges for additional orchestra members if students are not sufficient to complete the orchestra.  Rehearses the pit band as needed both with and without the cast according to the rehearsal schedule.  Conducts the pit orchestra for all shows.

 

Qualifications:  Qualified candidates should have strong background in instrumental music, including directing orchestra groups and coaching individual musicians.
