QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires knowledge of basic record
keeping/inventory methods and techniques; as well as basic
store/concessions operations; skill to understand and carry out
directions in an independent manner; ability to quickly learn to
effectively operate and maintain cash register and designated
food service machine/equipment; ability to train supervise
student workers; and knowledge to perform basic mathematical
calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and
division.
Must possess the skill to establish and maintain a variety of
records and logs; maintain an appropriate inventory of stock on
hand, communicate effectively orally and in writing; effectively
organize and prioritize work load for self and others; ability to
meet physical requirements necessary to safely and effectively
perform assigned duties; establish and maintain effective
relationships with those contacted in the performance of required
duties.
One year of general clerical experience, preferably including
experience in retail sales, or any combination of training and/or
experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and
skill.
Upon placement in the
position, the employee will obtain, if not already in
possession of, a Food Safety Certificate.
A PRE-EMPLOYMENT
MEDICAL ASSESSMENT AND CRIMINAL HISTORY CHECK WILL BE REQUIRED
OF THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT.
DUTIES OF POSITION:
Under supervision, operates an on-campus student store and
maintains an adequate stock and inventory.
Employees in this class direct and supervise student assistants.
This job class performs a variety of routine but responsible
tasks in the effective implementation of store/concession
operations and requires communication and organizational skills
as well as knowledge of specialized procedures and methods
utilized in the stocking/retailing activities.
STARTING SALARY:
$1279.22 (monthly)
NUMBER OF MONTHS:
9.4 (to begin 8/20/12)
NUMBER OF HOURS:
5 (daily working hours 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.)
