The secretary will be expected to deliver positive first impressions and outstanding customer service.  Communications, records and office management are expected to conform to the highest standards of professionalism while fostering a collaborative office culture. 

 

General job functions 

  • Tracking school attendance
  • Effective communication with parents, including incoming calls and distribution of parent letters
  • Knowledge and support of various campus entities including district professional development, food service, maintenance and Employee Health Clinic
  • Maintain financial and student records
  • Efficient typing skills and timely processing of workorders
  • Attend weekly office team meetings and district training sessions
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher and possess Web 2.0 skills
  • Perform other duties as assigned by building principal

 

Performance Requirements

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:  Basic understanding of Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act and HIPAA laws and requirements.  Work independently, maintain professionalism at all times, self-motivated regarding all responsibilites.  Positive attitude with high energy and strong desire to work in education environment. Organized and efficient with process creation, meeting deadlines and changing priorities within a fast-paced environment.
