Job Goal:

·          To provide professional leadership in communication internally in the Willard R-II Organization as well as externally to the Willard R-II community.

·          To provide leadership, oversight, and management of Willard R-II Operational Departments including: 

o     Maintenance

o     Custodial Services

o     Food Service

o     Transportation

o     New Construction

o     Capital Projects / Improvement. 

 

 

Qualifications:

1.        Applicants must have exceptional communication skills.  (oral, written, digital)

2.        Applicant must have knowledge base in digital communication regarding public relations, marketing, etc…

3.        Applicant must demonstrate skill in technology including, publication software, websites, photography, audio / visual, social media. 

4.        Applicant should possess a working knowledge of Missouri Public School systems.

5.        Applicant should be familiar with procedures of bid laws, labor law, and appropriate procurement procedures associated with public organizations.

6.        Applicant must have an extensive background in general construction, maintenance, and upkeep. 

7.        Applicant must work in a collaborative manner with district administration and directors in the implementation of district operations / functions. 

8.        Applicant must support the Mission, Vision, and Values of the Willard R-II Public School District.

 

Essential Functions:

1.        Supervision of all Operational Departments / Directors.  

2.        Establish / enhance quality communication pathways internally to staff and externally to the community.

3.        Direct Supervision of new construction and annual capital projects.

4.        Assist in the planning and development of the district facilities plan.

5.        Assist staff in the creation of positive communication opportunities for parents and patrons. 

6.        Coordinate the development and implementation of a public relations plan for the district.

7.        Work collaboratively with the Technology staff to support and continually update all digital websites.  Serve as a clearinghouse for district / building level web site support. 

8.        Attend various K-12 school functions to gather information to communicate to public.

9.        Assist in all district bond issue or levy election campaign. 

10.     Serve as a liaison with various news agencies

11.     Serve as a liaison with the City of Willard to enhance communication / cooperation.

12.     Attend Board of Education meetings for support of communications / operations.
