With the retirement of Al Root, our High School Principal for the past 26 years, Albert Lea Area Schools is now accepting applications for a dynamic leader at Albert Lea High School starting with the 2012-13 school year.
This position serves as the Principal of a High School (Grades 8-12) of approximately 1200 students and over 70 professional staff. Our High School is known for its robust College-in-the-Schools program, is a leader in Project Lead the Way, and has an outstanding tradition in athletics and the fine arts. Albert Lea High School is a member of the Big 9 Athletic Conference.
In particular, we are looking for a collaborative leader that has a considerable background in curriculum and instruction. The preferred candidate will also have experience with a successful school-to-work program and the ability to build partnerships with our business community. Previous administrative experience at the secondary level is preferred.
All applicants must have a valid Minnesota Principal License at the secondary level.
