Qualifications:

Meets all qualifications and behavior standards
as set by the State of New Hampshire

The minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an
accredited college or university

A valid New Hampshire Teacher Certificate
·
Professional verification of successful
classroom teacher performance and/or student teaching experience
·
Ability to work collaboratively to achieve the
overall purposes of the school program
·
Valid Highly Qualified Teacher status

Paraprofessionals assigned to his/her room
Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the
Agreement between the FMRSD and the Fall Mountain Teachers Association, Inc.
Job Goals:

teacher is responsible for providing an educational atmosphere where
students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for academic,
artistic, athletic, and social growth.

Performance
Responsibilities:
1. Instructional Program
- Incorporate
the New Hampshire Frameworks and Grade Level Expectations into daily and
long term planning.
- Plan
for children with different learning styles and abilities
- Utilize
data from standardized and teacher made assessments to drive instruction
- Exhibit
a deep and accurate understanding of subject area knowledge
- Utilize
research based teaching strategies
- Work
collaboratively with specialists and colleagues to plan effective
instruction for all children
- Clearly
communicate the learning objective and the importance of the learning to
all students
- Prepare
plans for substitute teachers
- Implement
prescribed instructional programs
- Communicate
with parents/guardians of all students as necessary
- Work
to improve student performance and supports the district goal of improving
standardized testing results by 5-7 percentage points each year
- Integrate
technology into the curriculum for all students
2. Classroom Management
- Provide
for adequate protection of students
- Maintain
appropriate student records
- Administer
testing situations according to state and local guidelines
- Engage
parents to assist in discipline
- Teach
effectively and with professional demeanor

3. Interaction
- Maintain
