Qualifications:

  • Illinois Administrative Certificate (Type 75) preferred
  • Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction or related field
  • Knowledge of school improvement process
  • Successful public school teaching experience
  • Strategic planning experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of professional learning communities
  • Knowledge of response to intervention
  • Knowledge of curriculum renewal process
  • Understanding of data as it relates to student success
  • Record of working effectively and collaboratively with others
  • Experience with ELL, Academically Talented, and grants desirable

Responsibilities:

  • Support staff throughout the curriculum renewal cycle
  • Participate in educational meetings and professional conferences
  • Apply the findings of research and district studies to improve curriculum, learning progressions, and measured outcomes of the learning teaching process
  • Prepare reports, materials, or data as needed to support curriculum implementation and evaluation
  • Collect, analyze, and study data on student learning to improve curriculum and recommend appropriate curricular modifications
  • Collaborate with colleagues to complete applications, monitor, and meet reporting requirements for federal and state grants
  • Offer constructive suggestions to support the teaching and learning process
  • Communicate district curriculum, instructional practices, accomplishments, goals, and new directions to all stakeholders as needed
