ESL School/Family Liaison 10 Month Secretary
Monday through Friday -7.5 hours per day
The ESL School/Family Liaison's major responsibilities are school and district translations, interpretation, and also are responsible for the ESL Parent Advisory Council Meetings with the English as a Second Language parents from across the district, as well as various office and educational duties.
- Bilingual Required (Spanish/English)
- 2 years or more post-secondary education desired
- Strong oral and written communication skills with parents, students, and teachers
- Computer experience working with Word, Excel, and Pinnacle preferred
- Ability to work with students from a diverse background
- Ability to multi-task
- Experience working in a team atmosphere
- Strong organizational skills
- Must have reliable transportation
Employee must be able to sit, stoop, bend, and walk as needed on a daily basis. While performing duties within this job, employee may be exposed to indoor and outdoor conditions and a noise level that can range from mild to loud.
The Sioux City Community School District is a supporter of the National Career Readiness Certificate.
