Instructional Assistant for a Behavior Disorder classroom
6.5 hours a day
Job Summary:
- Ability to work with challenging students in small or large classroom groups and in unstructured areas
- Ability to de-escalate difficult situations
- Flexibility in regards to the daily duties
- Be able to tutor students (academically and socially)
- Escort students to and from classrooms
- Ability to work as a team member with other staff
- MANDT training preferred
- TEACH training preferred
Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to indoor and
outdoor conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to
frequently walk, stoop, bend, and sit. The noise level in the work environment ranges from
mild to loud.
