Responsibilities
-Provide coverage for teachers who are absent throughout the
500 square miles that comprise BVSD
-Communicate effectively with learners
-Maximize learning time for all students
-Incorporate an understanding and appreciation for diversity
into instructional practices
-Plan effectively and purposefully for the use of time,
materials, and resources
-Create a classroom environment that promotes instruction
-Organize students for effective instruction
Qualifications
Required:
- Colorado Substitute Teaching Authorization of three or five
years or a Colorado Teaching license
- Completed and submitted BVSD online application, which
includes:
Copy of CDE teaching license or
substitute authorization, college transcripts, three letters of
reference, and Teacher Insight.
Preferred:

- Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning
- Utilize effective interpersonal skills during instruction
and interactions with staff
- Dedicated to high standards of excellence and the
success of all students
- Able to differentiate instruction for students
