strategies and strong knowledge of the appropriate curriculum and
content area

Qualification
Required:
-Currently
hold a Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsement (or
CDE licensure application in process)
-Completed
and submitted BVSD on-line application
Preferred:
-Strong
knowledge of reading and writing development
-Knowledge of
a variety of literacy assessments, including SDRT, running
records and individual reading inventories, DRA, CLIP, Guided
Reading and Guided Reading +, SOAR, and QRI
-Desire to
contribute to building and district committees
-Ability to
work collaboratively on an interdisciplinary teaching team
-Willingness
to communicate frequently with families regarding the school
program and student progress
-Diagnostic
and prescriptive skills in reading, writing, speaking and
spelling
-Strong
communications skills, flexible and good sense of humor
-Ability to
analyze student data to design and deliver instruction
-Technology
and software skills and experience-(Infinite Campus)

Regular teachers requesting transfers to less than their
current assignment would assume the contracted FTE of the
accepted position.
