MDE Secondary Endorsement in:
HX Agriscience and Natural Resources endorsement WITH a minor in either DA - Biology, or DI - Integrated Science, or DX - Science
Or one of the following:
DA - Biology; or DI - Integrated Science; or DX - Science WITH a VA - Agriscience/Natural Resources
DA, DI, or DX endorsements MUST hold a Vocational Agriscience/Natural Resources Endorsement!!
- Demonstrated experience with Greenhouse Management, Floral Design, and Urban Agricultural Farming
- Willingness to sponsor FFA and summer student landscaping employment opportunities.
Do you have a strong desire to invest in the growth and development of all learners?
Can you organize and present your teaching lessons to account for individual differences among learners?
Are you a capable communicator who works effectively with students, parents and peers?
Do you understand the unique needs of elementary/middle school/high school students enough to create a positive classroom atmosphere?
Do you use effective teaching strategies, such as, KWL, Graphic Organizers, Reciprocal Teaching, Two-Column Notes, Think-pair-share, etc.?
Is your knowledge of MDE’s core-curricular benchmarks beyond your peers?
Is it your passion to teach students using a hands-on, outcomes-based curriculum?
Is there an extra-curricular area that you have a passion for and strong desire to communicate to students?
