REPORTS TO:    Principal

 

Primary Function: To implement a positive behavior management system in order to increase student behavior and academic skills. The management of the behavior system includes but is not limited to: collecting and tracking of data pertaining to student and school wide patterns, the training of staff in de-escalation, implementation of positive behavior plans and climate improvement.

 

Secondary Function: Involve community-based organizations and families to ensure wellness among students.

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

<!--[if !supportLists]-->·      <!--[endif]-->Well versed in school district policies and procedures

<!--[if !supportLists]-->·      <!--[endif]-->Firm knowledge of Behavior Services policies and procedures

<!--[if !supportLists]-->·      <!--[endif]-->Experienced with school program’s behavior management system

<!--[if !supportLists]-->·      <!--[endif]-->Trained to provide verbal intervention techniques and crisis management procedures

<!--[if !supportLists]-->·      <!--[endif]-->Certified to implement Physical Management Training procedures

<!--[if !supportLists]-->·      <!--[endif]-->Proficient in all relevant computer software programs

 

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

PMT Certification


SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

11 month work year.  Salary in accordance with Hartford Educational Support Personnel (2009/10) Grid: B500 ($48,800 - $58,779).
