Qualifications: 

• Iowa Teaching License required
• Instructional Strategist II endorsement required
• Experience teaching in a special education self-contained classroom
• Experience communicating with parents
• Knowledge and skill with research-based teaching strategies
• Effective classroom management skills
• Willingness to participate in LITERACY TRAINING
• Special Education teaching experience and computerized IEP experience preferred
• Experience working with a diverse student population
• Experience working with assistive technology (PODD experience preferred)
• Ability to supervise support staff
• MANDT training preferred
• TEACCH training preferred
