Nome Public Schools is a rural, city school district offering a 9 month long teaching position. New teachers will report for new teacher in-service on August 13. Nome Public Schools is a learning community of 660 students and 50 teachers. Candidates must possess an Alaska Initial Teacher Certification or an Alaskan Professional Teacher Certification with appropriate endorsement(s), or able to qualify for such by the first day of school.

Prior successful Alaskan teaching experience.
Experience delivering intensive Reading instruction.
