Description:

Collect all data required to maintain systems supporting transcripts, grade reporting, rank-in-class, student scheduling, school master schedule, instructors file, special needs, LPAC/Bilingual, busing, immunization, social security/state ID numbers, city and state and country of birth, language surveys, college entry codes, TAG program, dropout recovery, and student demographic data

Verify the accuracy of all processed data, recognize discrepancies, and take corrective action in support of PEIMS and court reporting requirements

Complete all input documents and update student database via electronic data transmission to maintain systems supported including the school instructor file, student demographic and enrollment data, grade reporting, and attendance

Create a course master of all courses offered on campus and input into the database

Gather grade scans and process for student report card generation

Understand and correctly use computer systems including data transmission, student database inquiry, printed products, grade reporting, and attendance

Request, pick up, and distribute all student database products to appropriate school offices and/or personnel

Understand and interpret student database products and their uses
-
Communicate and work with other offices within the school district, and other school districts
-
Plan and schedule tasks, taking into consideration school priorities and the departmental calendar

Design, implement, and maintain a manual recordkeeping system for documentation of systems supported

Request, send, and maintain student cumulative records

Attend scheduled department workshops to maintain current knowledge of systems

Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned
Qualifications:
-
Accredited Senior High School Diploma or equivalent (U.S.A. equivalency)

Two years of office experience with a focus on recordkeeping; one year of Dallas ISD data controller experience preferred

Demonstrated ability to perform responsibilities with limited supervision

Demonstrated keyboarding and ten key skills

Demonstrated ability to make spot judgments, recognizing that decisions affect the instructional process
-
Demonstrated task oriented self-starter with the ability to perform and enter data with a high degree of accuracy
-
Demonstrated ability to work under time pressures and demand of the position to achieve completion deadlines
-
Demonstrated organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills required to achieve the goals of the position
-
Reliable personal transportation required for use in pick up and delivery of products from the administration building
