Curriculum and Professional Development Coordinator

(1 year position, 2012-2013 School Year Only)

NOTICE OF POSITION OPENING

 

Eden Prairie School District is seeking applicants for a Curriculum and Professional Development Coordinator position.  This position is responsible for providing leadership for content areas to address the district-wide curriculum needs and provide leadership for a committee of teachers to plan and implement district level staff development needs.  Eden Prairie is a school district with over 1,500 employees serving 9,800 students. The district is recognized for its quality initiatives and its leadership in educational programming.

 

Position requirements:

 

·         Minnesota Teaching License

·         Master degree preferred

 

Experience: 

·         Demonstrated ability in the development, delivery, and evaluation of professional development for certified and classified staff.

·         Experience working with curriculum in a leadership role.

·         Background in research related to learning and teaching theory and practice.

 

Qualifications:

·         Excellent team, consensus-building and collaboration skills.

·         Effective written and verbal communication skills.

·         Excellent organization and management skills.

·         Demonstrated group facilitation and change process skills.

 

Position reports to:                      Executive Director of Educational Services

Starting Salary:                           $62,665(additional salary dependent on experience and education

$62,665 (additional salary dependent on experience and education)

Tax Sheltered Annuity
Matching Program
 
District matching up to 1.7% of employee’s base salary.

Tuition Reimbursement
 
50% of tuition expenses for up to three credits per academic term, not to exceed nine credits in any one fiscal year.
