Qualifications:
Technology Degree in computer science or related technology
field from an accredited college or university with an emphasis
on technology.
Minimum of five years experience in technology administration
and/or management.
Extensive knowledge of current "state of the art" technology
including hardware, software, social media, networking, operating
systems, data administration, voice, and video systems.
Very strong oral and written communication skills.
Major Functions:
Develop, evaluate, update, and implement the district
technology plan.
Develop and manage the Department of Information Systems
including all strategic and operational activities; budget
development and administration; employee goal setting;
professional development; and evaluations.
Develop and manage the operations of all technology in the
district including administrative and instructional computing
applications, phone and video systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and administer district audio-visual
services
Disseminate technology information to the district
Assist in the integration of technology in all appropriate
areas of the district to improve performances, productivity, and
efficiency.
Assist other departments with training and staff
development
Serve as the district's technology representative to outside
organizations.
Serve as consultant to the Superintendent in matters
pertaining to technology.
Serve as a liaison to the Superintendent with department
heads, building administrators, and central office
administration.
Assist with the development of proper policies and procedures
for technology in the district.
Perform all other duties as assigned by the
Superintendent.
