Description:
District 28 is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced (preferred) energetic, child-centered person to work collaboratively with students, staff, and parents to meet the social and emotional needs of the students. The school has 620 students with two full time social workers. Either a school social work degree or a school counseling degree is required.
Job Summary:
These jobs entail working with staff and students to meet the needs of children. It also requires the ability to foster the social emotional literacy programs already in place at our school.
Qualifications:
Masters Degree in social work or counseling required.
Appropriate Illinois certification
Able to work with students, parents and staff to enhance the social and academic atmosphere of the school.
Able to provide professional development for staff and parents
experience preferred
Working Conditions:
Northbrook District 28 is a small, well-funded school district of 1700 students in four schools. The openings is due to a maternity leave. The district is in a North Shore suburb 25 miles north of Chicago.
