Description:

Primary LCC Instructor for secondary middle school level cadets enrolled in the 6<sup>th</sup> 7<sup>th</sup> and 8<sup>th</sup> grade LCC program
-
Responsible for the overall LCC unit program according to district and state standards.
-
Lead other assigned instructors and volunteers in promoting intellectual, social, patriotic, character education, and physical growth of LCC enrolled students.

Responsible for implementing the LCC district education curriculum and program requirements;
-
Prepare plans, coordination, and supervision of all co-curricular service learning, special activities or events (military ball, drill meets, honor guards, encampments, and other extracurricular activities).

Manage property management, budget and fund raising controls for the LCC unit.

Assess and evaluate student progress and growth through formal and informal evaluations procedures. Evaluate students progress and determines materials and strategies to provide for their needs.

Coordinate and consolidate lesson plans, curriculum activities, and objectives with other content areas in order to provide for transfer of learning and knowledge.

Develop thematic units and other projects to provide for extended interaction and creativity. Instruct 180 hours of character development materials in classroom and laboratory environment.

Administer, advise, and appraise extracurricular teams (drill, physical training and academic challenge).

Determine and administer cadets who serve in key leadership positions (command and staff).

Administer, advise, coordinate, and supervise special activities or events such as the annual military ball, drill meets, and awards ceremony.

Implement and maintain communication and coordination with the school faculty and staff to promote cadet involvement in school activities, cadet recruitment and retention.

Counsel, mentor, and tutor cadets as needed.

Perform other job related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-
Retired non-commissioned officer (NCO) grades E6 thru E9 or commissioned officer 03-06 from one of the five branches of the United States military.

Served in the military and is certified by the state of Texas to teach physical education.

Certified as a JROTC instructor by appropriate branch of service

Wear the service uniform daily and meet personal grooming standards as outlined in appropriate service regulation governing the wear of service uniforms

Able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing with students, parents, other teachers, school administrators, and with the Director of Army Instructors.

Meet current physical and weight standards are required by service
