HOURS: 4.8 hours/day, 5 days/week, 7:45 a.m. - 2:45 p.m. Exact hours to be determined by schedule
Description: Successful candidate must have a strong desire to work with middle school students. Candidate must be familiar with assessment for learning practices as well as how to provide appropriate interventions for students. It is expected that a candidate must also have the ability to collaborate with their colleagues to discuss instruction and assessment to meet the needs of the students. A strong teacher candidate must possess a sense of responsibility for the learning of their students.
Job Summary: Successful candidate will be highly qualified to teach all grades of middle school social studies. Candidate must be able to develop and present appropriate materials in social studies classes. The candidate will instruct and assess students, plan and participate in program development and evaluation and monitor and report students' academic progress.
Qualifications: Social Studies License: Current MN Middle School teaching license. Middle School or Secondary Social Studies endorsement, preferred. Minimum BA/BS required. Strong social studies background.
