The School District of Washington has an opening
for a Nurse/Health Coordinator. This position
is for the school year, August through May, and will involve
nursing duties at the High School as well as nursing
supervisory duties for the district. Please read

Summary
The
Nurse/Health Coordinator will give leadership and guidance in the
development and maintenance of the district nurses role in health
services. The Nurse/Health Coordinator will be available for
consultation with the nurses and principals and orient them in
the expectations of health services.

An individual who holds this position must:

Act as a liaison to Assistant Superintendent Student Services
and the nursing staff.

Maintain/order up-to-date inventory of supplies and
equipment.

Assist in the preparation of district, state, and federal
reports.

Assist in the building assignments of nurses and clinic
clerks.
-
May assist in the selection of nursing personnel.
-
Carry out the duties of a school nurse.
-
Assist with the organization and administration of
immunizations for district staff.
-
Serve as the contact to district technical services personnel
related to SHM.
-
Assist in the coordination of district nurses and district
health advisory committee.
-
Assist principal in performance evaluations and supervision of
nursing staff.
Supervisory Duties
Assist in the supervision of school nurses.
Education and/or Experience
-
Registered Nurse certification required.
- 3-5
years school nurse experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities
Language
