Position Vacancy:                             

Full time Intervention Specialist (moderate/intensive) for K-5 STACK (Structured Teaching of Autistic and Communication-delayed Kids) classrooms.

 

Description:

Uses research based teaching strategies to instruct students in the academic content standards and individualized goals and objectives.   Plans, implements and evaluates students' learning experiences using a differentiated curriculum.   Helps students increase communication skills, learn age-appropriate social skills, manage behavior, and make appropriate choices. This person will be working with students with special needs in a public suburban school setting.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Valid license from the Ohio Department of Education

Documentation of a clear criminal record

Complies with drug-free workplace rules and board policies

 

Desired Qualifications:

Experience working with primary school-age students

Experience instructing students with autism spectrum disorders

Training and/or experience in structured teaching techniques

Training and/or experience in behavioral management techniques is preferred                                  

                                        

 

Salary:                                                

Commensurate with experience and in accordance with specified salary schedule

 

Reports To:                                       

Director of Special Education
