Grayslake Community High School District 127 is seeking a Department Chair for Business, Tech Ed and Family Consumer Science for the 2012-2013 school year. District 127 is located in Grayslake, Illinois. The district serves approximately 3000 students in grades 9-12 in two high schools with more than 300 certified and educational support staff members.
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the Department Chair is instructional leadership of the Business/Tech Ed/FCS Department. The Department Chair coordinates, at the building level, the development of curriculum for the department, participates in the supervision and evaluation of certified personnel and works with staff to improve student achievement. The Department Chair reports directly to the Building Principal and is a member of the Building Leadership Team.
