JOB TITLE: Gymnastic Academy Director

LOCATION: Niles Township High Schools District 219; Skokie, IL

SUPERVISED BY: Athletic Directors

CALENDAR: 12 months

SALARY RANGE: $32,000-$42,000 annually

·       Head Coach of D219 Gymnastics Academy (DGA).

·       Responsible for assisting in all levels of the DGA Program: (Level 2-10, Rec, Youth and recreational) with special Olympics classes being introduced by 2014.

·       Oversee all aspects of the program.

·       Assign and define coaching staff responsibilities to ensure adequate and appropriate coverage of all groups within the program.

·       Attend the highest level of competitions available to DGA.

·       Ensure that all meets are covered.

·       Develop the team's practice and meet schedule. (Work with athletic directors, Niles North and Niles West head coaches as well as the Park District liaison).

·       Requires past experience as an IHSA/USAG head coach or assistant coach of a gymnastics high school/ club program for a period of not less than five (5) years.

·       Knowledge and experience scheduling competitions/practices, scheduling facilities and website development. Ability to communicate, direct, plan and lead gymnastics professionals and staff.

·       College graduate (B.S. or B.A) in related field or job experience equivalent.

·       Current or past experience as IHSA/USAG coach or an assistant coach of a high school athletic program.
