Reporting to the Superintendent, the District Accountant carries out the financial reporting function of both the Concord and Concord-Carlisle School Districts. The District Accountant receives day-to-day guidance from the Deputy Superintendent of Finance & Operations in maintaining the integrity of the Business Office and the finances of each District and communicates with staff regarding same. The person in this position must have knowledge of automated systems.
This position requires the ability to work independently and to make decisions based upon agreed procedures. An exceptional customer service orientation, and the ability to use and consolidate data and to organize and present information is also required. The District Accountant will interface with all levels of staff and faculty, effectively build teams, and interface with constituents in an open, friendly, and cooperative manner. The District Accountant will serve as a link between the Business/Central Office, individual schools and the District Auditor. The District Accountant must possess initiative, excellent communication and interpersonal skills that enable the efficient resolution of both internal and external concerns.
