Duties & Responsibilities:

Director of 3 Orchestral ensembles:
·
Concert Orchestra (Most advanced Strings and Winds), Varsity
Orchestra (Strings), Cadet Orchestra (9th Grade)
·
Participate in All-State, Solo/Ensemble, and Large group Fesitvals
·
Participate in school events, assemblies, graduation.
·
Work in cooperation with other music colleagues and their ensembles
·
Keep track of district owned instruments, rental agreements &
repairs
·
Keep track of budget allocation and expenditures
·
Knowledge and skills using technology.
·
Knowledge of district standards and benchmarks
·
Must work cooperatively with students, staff, and parents to maintain
a positive climate in the school.
·
Work cooperatively with staff and administration pursuing building
and district initiatives including Data Teams & RTI.
·
Must be skilled at teaching in a team atmosphere and be a participant
on a building focus team.
·
Willingness to be a collaborative member of the Freshman Academy team
concept.
·
Required to deliver curriculum for student in advisory setting.
·
Co-teach with special education staff in a collaborative effort to
benefit instruction to all students.
·
Other duties as assigned.
