Two Middle School Assistant Principalships available. One at the Dr. Robert H. Brown Middle School (grades 5 and 6) and one at the Walter C. Polson Middle School (grades 7 and 8). Please indicate your preference in your cover letter.
Responsibilities:
The Assistant Principal must demonstrate the ability to contribute to the development and implementation of curriculum and program initiatives; demonstrate the ability to organize and implement student conduct / performance initiatives; contribute to the school's organizational health in regard to the facility, the school budget, and the scheduling of student and staff activities. Additionally, the Assistant Principal participates in the evaluation and supervision of assigned staff, promotes positive public relations with the extended school community, and assists with the planning and implementation of professional development activities for staff.
Additionally, applicants must hold the state-required certification for school administration (092).
