QUALIFICATIONS:
§
Candidate should have two (2) years of
post-secondary formal training in a business school program or an associates
degree or should possess related work experience
§
Candidate should demonstrate ability to word
process at 75 words per minute
§
Candidate should demonstrate ability to use word
processing, spreadsheet, database, publication and presentation computer
programs effectively in work assignments
§
Candidate should demonstrate ability to use
e-mail and internet services
§
Candidate should demonstrate ability to perform
basic bookkeeping functions
§
Candidate should demonstrate ability to operate
a computer, a calculator, copying equipment, transcribing
equipment and other equipment required to complete job assignments
§
Candidate should demonstrate ability to maintain
cooperative working relationship with office personnel, staff, parents,
students and the public
SALARY: $27.65 - $29.36
per hour
GENERAL
DESCRIPTION:
The
Administrative Secretary I directs the entire work flow in the office
assigned. This includes the secretarial,
clerical and bookkeeping skills required to maintain a school office, meeting
report deadlines, scheduling the office work assignments, and scheduling the
calendar of the supervisor. Working in
an office with continued interruptions, the Administrative Secretary I must
complete assignments, independent of supervision. The handling of sensitive and confidential
information is a requirement of this position.
WORK
