Community Consolidated School District 62 in Des Plaines, Illinois is seeking a part-time bilingual (Spanish) community outreach liaison to address the needs of the ELL community in the school district.
1. Completion of a Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university. 2. Illinois teacher certification with the designation as a School Social Worker (Illinois Type 73) is preferred. 3. Experience in an elementary school programs and students with autism, mental impairment and early childhood characteristics is preferred. 4. Demonstrated strong behavioral and therapeutic skills. 5. Ability to work in a consulting environment. 6. Bilingual Spanish Required.
District 62 has approximately 4,800 students in grades preK-8 in 8 elementary schools, 2 middle schools and 1 year-around, K-8 school. This assignment will be in one elementary school in the district.
