This position is responsible for the administration, design and oversight of all employee benefit plans for the District. Responsibilities include analyzing, forecasting and reporting insurance plan information; maintaining proper accounting procedures and records in the areas of employee and retiree benefits; organizing and overseeing a District-wide wellness program; and working with the Insurance Committee to formulate benefit plan design recommendations.
Position will be a key advisor to the Human Resources Director and Assistant Director. Individual must be a self-starter, have the ability to creatively find solutions to complex problems, and believe that people are our most important asset. Responsible for promoting the District through positive public relations with a variety of stakeholders. May be called upon to present information to the Board.
Sioux City Community Schools employs approximately 2,000 people in the following employee groups: Teachers, Instructional Assistants, Secretaries, Administrators, Operations & Maintenance, Bus Drivers and Assistants, and Food Service Assistants.
