This position is responsible for the administration, design and oversight of all employee benefit plans for the District.  Responsibilities include analyzing, forecasting and reporting insurance plan information; maintaining proper accounting procedures and records in the areas of employee and retiree benefits; organizing and overseeing a District-wide wellness program; and working with the Insurance Committee to formulate benefit plan design recommendations. 

 

Position will be a key advisor to the Human Resources Director and Assistant Director.  Individual must be a self-starter, have the ability to creatively find solutions to complex problems, and believe that people are our most important asset.  Responsible for promoting the District through positive public relations with a variety of stakeholders.  May be called upon to present information to the Board.    

 

Qualifications:

  • At a minimum, must possess an Associate degree in Business or Accounting; Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Previous benefit related experience in human resources or in an insurance office required.
  • Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills including at least three (3) years of accounting experience required.
  • Requires the ability to work with staff at all levels of the organization to foster and enhance student achievement through department initiatives.
  • Experience working with individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds.
