Description:
Program Support Assistant, Special Education - SMI at Sweeney Elementary - 6.50 hours a day on student days.
Job Summary
Provide support by working directly with students to increase their functional, academic, social, behavioral, and communication skills under the direction of the teacher(s).
Qualifications:
Position requires a H.S. diploma.
Prefer 2 years of post-secondary training or AA degree in child development.
Previous experience working in schools preferred. Training for specific need of the students in the program will be provided by the district.
Working Conditions:
Classroom environment.
Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
