After School Program Assistant - Harrisville/Wells Memorial School
Responsibilities include:
*Assisting with running a high quality after school program for children in Grades K-6 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
*Providing a choice of activities for children, based on their interests and needs
*Communicating with parents on a daily basis to support the child's transition
*Assisting with program preparations and clean-up after the program.
*Communicating regularly with the program director
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or
general equivalency diploma and one of the following:
*Experience working with school-age children totaling 600
hours
*Documentation of at least 3 college credits in elementary
education, human growth and development, behavior management or recreation or early
childhood education
*Documentation that she or he is a certified coach
Also required:
*CPR and first aid certified.
*Experience working with school-aged children in center-based program.
The pay range for this position is $11.00 - $12:00 per hour.
