Dual Certified Teacher for GCSD/IDEA Mat-Su
Office
Start Date:
TBD - For the 2012/2013 School Year
Qualifications:
1.
Alaska Teaching Certificate; Special Education
and
Type A, Certified Elementary (K-8) or Secondary Education (7
-12 or K-12).
Must meet NCLB criteria as "Highly Qualified" in
one or more of the following core areas: Elementary, Middle
School, Mathematics, Language Arts, Economics, Foreign
Languages, Social Studies and/or Geography.
2.
Bachelors Degree
3.
Preference given to those able to meet the
highly qualified teaching standard in multiple areas.
4.
Preference given to those with prior home school
teaching experience.
5.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as
the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Job Goal:
Serve as a
part-time special education and part-time regular education
teacher for students in the IDEA Program.
