Employment Status: Part
Time -- 3.5 hours per day
Qualifications:
-
Valid driver's license.

High school diploma or
equivalent.

Experience in the preparation of
school lunches.

Be clean, neat and over 18 years
of age.

Have the ability to organize and
carry out lunchroom procedures.

Professional tact, diplomacy and
presentation with administrators, staff teachers, students,
parents and the community.

Conscientious and assumes
responsibility for own work
performance.

Good health, high moral
character and good attendance record.
-
Demonstrate enthusiasm and a
sincere desire to aid all students.

General
Description: Assist with
food preparation serving and general clean up including
dishwashing. Must have basic computer skills and be able
to run computerized cash register system.
Essential Functions:

Follow carefully directions
given by head cook.

Adhere to prescribed
recipes.
-
Work diligently at the specific
tasks and offer help to others when needed (i.e. filling
condiment dispensers, maintain up-to-date menu display board,
etc.)

Acquaint self thoroughly with
every procedure in the lunchroom.
-
Maintain orderly and clean work
areas.
-
Prepare and serve food in an
attractive manner
-
Adhere to rigid sanitary
standards.
-
Take pride in personal
appearance; keep person neat, keep clothing neat.

Perform duties as required at
special meal functions.
Other Duties and
Responsibilities:

Serve as a role model for
students in how to conduct themselves as citizens and as
responsible, intelligent human beings.

Help instill in students the
belief in and practice of ethical principles and democratic
values.

Conduct other duties related to
the cook's duties as assigned by the Cafeteria Manager and/or
food service supervisor.
ADDITIONAL WORKING
CONDITIONS:
1.
Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids and
tissue.
2.
Occasional operation of a vehicle under inclement weather
conditions.
3.
Occasional interaction among unruly children.
4.
Ability to lift up to forty (40) pounds.
