1. Master’s degree required preferably
in School Administration/Leadership.
2. Valid Michigan Elementary, Secondary
Continuing or Permanent Teaching Certificate.
3. Five+ (5) years successful teaching experience at the
elementary, secondary level, and/or three+ (3) years successful building administration
experience at the elementary, secondary level.
4. Possess or meet the NCA requirements for elementary, high school
principal preferred.

Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with staff,
student populations, community members, and administrators of a school
district.
6.
Familiarity and knowledge regarding the No Child Left
Behind Act, Education Yes!, and NCA Accreditation. Ability to work collaboratively to
successfully fulfill all requirements or changes mandated from NCLB.
7.
Demonstrated conflict resolution skills; confirmed
problem-solving ability.
8.
Proven record of success in team building and shared
decision making, particularly in working with School Improvement Teams,
parent organizations, and student organizations.
9.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in
oral and written forms.
10.
Ability to perform duties with awareness of all
District requirements and Board of Education policies.
11. Other duties and/or responsibilities as directed by Administrator/Principal.
