Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special education and
valid teaching certificate with EI or AI endorsement desired. Must have 3-5 years teaching experience with
teacher consultant experience preferred.
Experience developing Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and
Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) required.
CPI certification and experience gathering, analyzing, and reporting
data preferred. Knowledge of Response to
Intervention (Rtl) and current critical issues in special education helpful.
Description:
Individual needed to work
in LEAs and specialized schools setting with students who have severe behavior
issues. They will also provide support to students and will be responsible for
providing consultation services to constituent school districts. Individual
will also be involved with Child Study Teams and must be able to model teaching
suggestions to local school district staff and provide extensive coaching
regarding working with various behaviors.
