Qualifications
:
The ideal candidate will:

Hold a CT teaching certificate in
Physical Education.
·
Valid CT certificate in Health
preferred.
·
Experience with Project Adventured
preferred.
·
Be able to articulate a clear vision
of how effective classroom management and a positive learning
environment will improve teaching and learning.
·
Possess a strong commitment to
promoting a positive school culture and the teaming model.
·
Possess a deep understanding of the
central concepts and skills that students should know and be able
to demonstrate in Physical Education.
·
Be motivated to collaborate with
colleagues to create units of study that are meaningful and
integrated.
·
Be skilled in the analysis of
student work, both written and performance based and assessment
data to focus and pace instruction.
·
Be able to design curriculum-based
lessons to address the range of learners in the classroom.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct physical education instruction to students in
the 5
<SUP>th</SUP>
and 6
<SUP>th</SUP>
grade levels.
