Qualifications:
- Michigan teaching certificate with ZA endorsement preferred
- CDA or an associate's degree in child development required
Responsibilities:
· Maintains regular attendance and is punctual.
· Keeps privileged information confidential.
· Displays a desire to work with students.
· Serves as a role model.
· Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing.
· Demonstrates loyalty to the position and the Academy.
· Helps the teacher prepare and distribute lesson materials.
· Instructs students under supervision of the teacher.
· Follows the GSRP Program Standards
· Guides children in working and playing harmoniously with other children.
· Assists the teacher in keeping the classroom neat, clean, and orderly to provide work and study areas conducive to learning.
· Collects and displays suitable materials for bulletin boards and other educational displays.
· Sits with children during all meal times and models appropriate lunch time social skills
· Accompanies teacher on visits to each child's home twice per year as indicated on the planning calendar, to meet parents or guardiansand become familiar with the child's family and home environment.
· Assists teachers with supervision of students during play periods.
· Maintains current and accurate records as requested.
· Willingly accepts other related duties assigned by the Principal.

· Plans and organizes own work effectively.
· Maintains professional personal appearance.
