The Chief Arts Supervisor (CAS) K-12 will serve as the lead person charged with the overall development and implementation of the Visual Arts High School Academy. Their primary responsibilities will be to provide leadership with program design, alignment of curriculum for the Arts disciplines, program management, facility design and operational activities for the district grades K-12. The CAS K-12 will also be responsible for the development, planning and implementation of the Arts High School program, as well as, a comprehensive program to be housed in the new high school academy. The Chief Arts Supervisor coordinates the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum and instructional practices within the assigned area(s) to ensure that all students meet and exceed the State Core Curriculum Content Standards. The CAS K-12 works collaboratively with the administrative and instructional staff and communicates effectively with parents, members of the community and colleagues.
