Intermediate District 287 is seeking a qualified candidate who meets the DHS (Department of Human Services) "Rule 3" requirements to occupy our Parent Child Specialist position located at North Education Center. This position is accountable for providing childcare services as part of a strongly collaborative child care team, and also demonstrating parenting skills to students in an alternative pregnant teen/teen parent program.
Required Education and Experience:
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and meet the education and experience requirements as defined by the Department of Human Services under "Rule 3" for child care teachers working in a daycare setting. Please view Rule# 9503.0032 (Teachers). You would only need to meet one (1) of the nine (9) listed criterias in both Column A and Column B in order to be considered for potential employment.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Prefer someone with the following skills and expertise: Strong team player, extensive experience working with infants who are 6 weeks to 16 months, experience working in an urban setting, knowledge of child development, formal training in nursing, and experience creating lesson plans for early childhood.
