Salary Range: $24.22 - $47.44 per hour DOE and E 
Start Date:  August 21, 2012

Work Week: 13.2 Hours per week
 
POSITION DESCRIPTION: 
Intermediate District 287 is seeking qualified candidates for a Law Enforcement Instructor position at South Education Center. This class is accountable for instruction and supervision in vocational and occupational subjects to a group of students. 
 
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
General Experience: High School graduation or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and eight (8) years of employment and/or teaching experience in the subject field. Prefer experience working with youth. Also prefer teaching experience.


Substitution Allowed: College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equaling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor's degree.


Special Experience: Incumbents in this class must meet the Minnesota Department of Education requirements to receive initial educator certificate to teach Vocational Education.

 

Licensures, Certifications and Other Requirements:
A current vocational license issued by the Minnesota Department of Education in the specific vocational instructional area is required. In addition, some occupational clusters require industry certification.
